A custom-produced orange Soltis Horizon 86 protects guests at a shopping and community plaza in California, USA. The City Center Bishop Ranch is a vibrant 27,900 square metre shopping, community and lifestyle destination in San Ramon, California. Renowned architects Renzo Piano, were inspired by the stunning natural surroundings of San Ramon\u2019s rolling hills and designed, with BAR Architects and Sunset Development, an open-air destination with a nod to old world public squares.<\/span><\/p>\n To provide shading to the large space, Eide Industries Inc. manufactured a glass escalator canopy as well as 186 fabric awnings in various sizes (yes, you read that correctly, 186!), with a coverage area of 645 square metres.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/kscope.co.za\/synchron\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/escalator-awning-at-shopping-centre.jpg” alt=”escalator-awning-at-shopping-centre” show_bottom_space=”off” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”3px|20px|3px|0px|false|false” custom_padding_tablet=”|||0px|false|false” custom_padding_phone=”” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” header_font=”|300|||||||” header_line_height=”1.4em” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”20px|20px|20px||false|false” custom_padding_tablet=”|0px|||false|false” custom_padding_phone=”20px||20px||false|false” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” header_text_shadow_style=”preset2″ header_text_shadow_horizontal_length=”0.03em” header_text_shadow_vertical_length=”0.03em” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The awnings were made with Serge Ferrari Soltis Horizon 86, a 14% open mesh that filters UV and rain, but allows warm air to rise through, keeping the entire space breezy, cool and comfortable for guests. A custom orange colour was specially produced for the project, giving vibrance to the space.<\/span><\/p>\n Built with Precontraint\u00ae technology, Soltis Horizon 86 will continue to look beautiful for many years with its strength and inherent resistance\u00a0to fading, stretching and tears.<\/span><\/p>\n Soltis Horizon 86 offers unrivalled outward visibility and a level of natural light transmission that is beneficial to user well-being. This fabric is also very useful in most South African cities and is available locally through Synchron Markings.
